Social commerce company Flashfomo has joined the Youtube merchandise program.

The YouTube merch shelf and related merch features enable eligible creators to promote their official branded merchandise on YouTube. The features seek to create a new source of revenue for creators beyond ads.

FlashFomo, an APAC based social commerce company, helps creators, music artists, gamers and celebrities create & sell branded products to their fans. The collaboration with YouTube enables eligible creators to list their FlashFomo sourced & designed products in a merch shelf underneath their videos. FlashFomo is uniquely placed to offer creators, multichannel networks & music labels with over 500 products that can be customized, sold with no minimum orders on the FlashFomo platform and delivered to 190 countries. Their manufacturing network includes suppliers from Australia, USA, UK, Vietnam, Japan, China, India, Mexico, Canada & Latvia.

David Nicholls CEO at FlashFomo was “thrilled to be recognised by YouTube as a prominent player in APAC, creating a new source of revenue for creators”. When quizzed on how they plan to handle demand Nicholls mentioned that “we have built a scalable platform that can enable thousands of custom creator ecommerce stores to operate simultaneously”.

FlashFomo has launched the offering with their key partner in Korea CJ ENM via the two best performing channels Allblanc TV & GoToe who have seen a spike in their merch sales since incorporating the new product feature. FlashFomo have previously produced custom branded products in partnership with some of Asia’s largest YouTubers including Bie The Ska (11M Subs) and JaMill (11M Subs).
